Description
Unlike chemical approaches to water disinfection, UV rapidly and effectively inactivates microorganisms through a physical process. When bacteria, viruses, and protozoa are exposed to the germicidal wavelengths of UV light, they are rendered incapable of reproducing and infecting. UV light has demonstrated effectiveness against pathogenic organisms, including those responsible for cholera, polio, typhoid, hepatitis, and other bacterial, viral, and parasitic diseases.
Benefits
- Equipped to inactivate chlorine-resistant parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, as well as harmful bacterium like E.Coli and viruses not visible to the naked eye
- The lamps are specially engineered and thoroughly tested to provide consistent and reliable ultraviolet output over the entire life of the lamp (9000 hours) to ensure continuous purification
- The system is easy to install, maintain, and service
Ditch the Chemicals – Make the move to UV-C today!
UV-C How It Works
Dating back to the early 1900s, UV disinfection is energy efficient, carbon neutral, chemical-free, and environmentally friendly. A UV disinfection system bombards the cell walls of organisms with electromagnetic energy in the form of UV-C. The UV-C light inactivates the organism’s genetic material and the ability to reproduce. UV disinfection is 20,000 times more energy-efficient than boiling water and costs five times less annually when compared to chlorine disinfection.

Key Features
• Specially designed and tested lamps provide consistent and reliable ultraviolet output over the entire life of the lamp (9000 hours) to ensure continuous purification
• The system is easy to install, maintain, and service
• The ultraviolet lamp can be changed without interrupting the water flow
• Built with a durable stainless steel chamber to prolong life and eliminate ultraviolet light degradation
• The power supply visually displays the remaining lamp life and will go into alarm if the lamp fails to notify the homeowner
• The power supply has a sealed case to prevent damage from accidental water intrusion and is CSA and CE compliant
• Designed & manufactured to ASME pressure vessel standards
• Flow rates stated at 95% UVT at a dose of 30mJ/cm2
• Reliable, industry proven low pressure (LP) coated UV lamps with ceramic bases for durability and a 9000 hour life (1 year)
• Constant current electronic controller (one controller for all systems) in a splash-proof case
Optional Prefiltration
We believe in engineering effective solutions for all of your water issues. That’s why every UV system comes with an optional 1 micron – Made in The USA, Magna filter. This is the only filter on that market that uses patented Posi-Seal technology to ensure 100% filtration with zero bypasses. Prefilters are the best insurance for prolonging the life of both your water softener and household appliances.
